MWS launched an Aftercare program in 2021-2022, and we are pleased to have someone with Tracy’s experience at the helm. Tracy serves as Aftercare Leader, watching up to seven students after the regular school day ends. In addition to the depth of her classroom experience, we were especially drawn to Tracy’s belief in embracing a child’s natural curiosities and supporting their unique way of experiencing and learning.
The Catskills have long been a special place for me. Having recently moved to the area with my family from Brooklyn, I am delighted to be working in a school that is surrounded by such beauty, and takes such a thoughtful approach to working with children and preparing them for their place in the world.
I have a BA in Theater from Northeastern University and a MS.Ed in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Bank Street College. I have 12 years of teaching experience and have worked with children between the ages of two and eleven in a variety of progressive schools in New York City. While the majority of my teaching has been in early childhood, I enjoy working with children of all ages and am fascinated by the lens through which children see the world and interact with it and others. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gardening and exploring the woods with my husband Nick, our son Hugo and our dog Olive.
