Hazel Parker-Myers
Lead Teacher | Owls
Hazel joins our team by returning to her roots in the Hudson Valley. She loves teaching and making connections across all the domains of learning. We are eager to see our Owls soar!
I’m thrilled to be a part of the Middle Way School team as the Lead Teacher for the Owls. I was raised in the Hudson Valley and am excited to return to this beautiful place.
I graduated from Smith College where I earned my BA in Education and Child Study. I have spent the past five years working in progressive education across both Valleys. I am deeply committed to social-emotional learning and equity in education. I am constantly inspired by the uniqueness of each child and group of students I have the pleasure of working with. I sincerely love learning from my students and getting to know them as inquirers, explorers, researchers, thinkers, feelers, advocates, debaters, creators, citizens, and risk-takers. I’m excited to be continuing this work at MWS.
Outside of the classroom, you can find me dancing, crafting, and gathering. I’m also passionate about berry picking and drinking tea.
