Tuition and Assistance

Supporting each other as we grow together.
Supporting each other
as we grow together.

Middle Way School was born from the far-reaching vision and initiative of the Khyentse Foundation (KF). Since launching MWS in 2018, KF has supported our school with extraordinary generosity. This immense gift has allowed us to keep tuition affordable while providing robust tuition assistance to our families.

Our current flexible tuition approach considers accessibility while also nurturing sustainability. We are committed to our whole community—both regional and global. We aspire to make this precious education available to as many families as possible.

Sustaining Our Vision—Flexible Tuition at MWS

We understand that our families’ financial landscapes are as varied as their life experiences. Whether a family can comfortably contribute the full cost of tuition or requires significant support to make this education possible, every child is an essential part of our whole.

In the flexible tuition model, tuition is scaled so that the cost is adjusted based on individual circumstances rather than charging everyone the same flat rate.

Those who have the capacity to contribute at the maximum end of the scale help pave the way for others, ensuring that the unique offering of this education is not limited by financial means.

At its heart, Flexible Tuition is an expression of radical interdependence. Rather than a “one-size-fits-all” fee, this model recognizes that our community is a diverse ecosystem. By scaling tuition according to a family’s unique financial landscape, we ensure that an education at Middle Way School  remains accessible to a vibrant, diverse student body while collectively meeting the school’s operational needs.

Families who are unable to contribute the maximum amount of tuition for their grade level are asked to submit an application in Clarity, our easy-to-use financial aid platform. Tuition determinations are made using the information provided in Clarity—including assets, income, expenses, debts, and any extenuating circumstances facing your family.

Supporting Tuition Assistance

To nurture Tuition Assistance at Middle Way School, please consider supporting the Dana Fund—a giving fund rooted in the Buddhist practice of dana, or cultivating generosity from the heart.

This fund transforms tuition assistance into a shared practice of giving, ensuring that an MWS education is accessible to children from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means.

Every contribution is matched one-to-one by a private supporter, doubling the impact of generosity.

We are deeply grateful for those who support this initiative.
