I grew up in Ithaca, New York, in a very spiritual household with a varied educational upbringing. My parents practiced Kundalini Yoga and in turn, somatic practices and developing a relationship with my breath and body have been guiding factors in my life. Curiosity, exploration, and engagement with the natural world have shaped who I am and inspired me to become a teacher.
After graduating from Emerson College in 2017 with a degree in Acting I moved to Brooklyn, New York. As I pursued acting, I began teaching after-school enrichment classes which soon became one of the most impactful experiences of my life. During the pandemic, I had the privilege of working with a group of families whose 2nd graders were attending online public school together, which I helped facilitate throughout the school year.
During this experience, I decided to return to school, graduating from Hunter College with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Over the past few years, I’ve worked at The Reggio Emilia Montessori School and a Brooklyn Community Services preschool. I’ve also served as an early literacy tutor. I value educational spaces that support individuality, incorporate the natural world, and foster healthy habits that lead to lifelong learners.
After living in Brooklyn for 7 years, my husband and I moved to Saugerties in August 2024—and we feel right at home! Beyond the school day, I enjoy laughing and spending time with my husband, reading, cooking elaborate meals, enjoying time outside, and obsessing over our cat Saul.
