Laura grew up in a Buddhist academic family in Middlebury, Vermont.  After attending New York University Laura worked with artists and art galleries in New York City and helped start a fashion label. Since becoming a student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in 2004 Laura has done a variety of volunteer work for Khyentse Foundation, 84000, and Middle Way Education. In 2008 Laura moved to Washington, DC where she advises political campaigns and organizations on federal election regulation compliance. In 2020 she earned a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University Schar School of Policy and Government. She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Jay, and their two cats.
