Anna Landewe
Marketing and Communication Coordinator
A longtime MWS parent, Anna Landewe serves as our Marketing and Communications Coordinator. In this role, Anna supports our email communications, social media posts, event documentation, brand management, and promotion. Anna has an extensive background in communications and design, and has a deep heart connection to Middle Way as part of a dedicated founding family and as a Buddhist practitioner.
My path began with a BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and continued with an MA from Camberwell College of Arts in London. Throughout the years, I’ve collaborated with both global brands and local organizations, blending ideas and imagery to create a unique voice for each.
For over a decade, I’ve also tended an historic Hudson River lighthouse with my family—yes, a real lighthouse! We’re honored to weave its compelling past into our own life story.
At heart, I am a passionate arts advocate. I was raised by family of artists who instilled in me the importance of creativity in overall wellness. A former New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow, I have also served as a NYFA fiscal sponsorship review panel member and a NYFA Immigrant Artist Mentor. I teach at museums and craft schools throughout the region. I can often be found drawing and painting in my studio, a floating houseboat I built from scratch with my partner Patrick.
As a Buddhist practitioner and a parent of a Middle Way student, I’m grateful to be a part of the school’s community and growth. My family and I have been greatly influenced by the philosophical wisdom and enriching opportunities we’ve encountered at MWS. I have learned so much from my child’s teachers, and just as much from the vibrant students themselves. I’m delighted to support this team of genuinely kind and joyful educators and administrators.
