Alexandria has managed our office and the day to day operations of the school since 2019. She also supports teachers with leading morning meditation and offers guidance on diversity and social justice issues that are close to her heart. She has lead administrative teams over the years with non-profits such as YogaCare and Sky Lake Retreat Center. She brings a sense of precision and clarity to the role of organization, which allows staff to focus on on the important work of making room for children’s exploration, play, and learning at Middle Way.
“For the past several years I have been involved in the Shambhala Buddhist community with Social Engagement. I believe that magic and joy bloom out of the practice of engaged work and I have been lucky to both practice and teach groups investigating systemic harm and oppression. A lot of my time centers on the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, Limitless Gate Qigong, and anti-racism training. I also love to ride gravel bikes! The opportunity to work with Middle Way School is a blessing. It is no question that youth are the future of a bright and healthy world and I am incredibly grateful to be on staff supporting this aspiration. “
